Chapter 10: Spending and Saving
Instant gratification does one thing. It provides us with an easy
road to debt. Before positive attitude adjustment, compulsive
shopping relieved our stress. After positive adjustment, we
address reasons for our stress, pinpoint them, decide on a
solution to eliminate them, and then act on that solution. We
also ask ourselves what the consequences are if we spend money; if it diminishes
our ability to pay for future prescriptions or an insurance policy.
